Lucy skipped up the cement steps, and tapped her knuckles on the door. She was happy and excited and nervous and just giddy. Why?? Because she was going to give Kory a surprise visit, although whenever she was even around Kory she got the same feeling she had now. Lucy loved Kory, they weren't together but Lucy understood that Kory just wasn't into that commitment much, so Lucy left it alone, but she could always tell Kory cared.

The door opened and Kory looked up at her, Lucy smiled, but Kory only leaned against the doorway and looked away, Lucy frowned, "what's wrong"

"Oh nothing nothing.." Kory shook her head "I just didn't expect you to.. come over" she whispered.

Lucy smiled and shrugged, "I wanted to pay a surprise visit to my faaaaaavorite person in the world!!" She sang and quickly kissed Kory.

Kory blushed and scratched the back of her neck, "ah... Lucy we should talk"

Lucy nodded and started to walk in, but Kory stopped her, "erm... Out here...my folks are home now." She said stepping out and closing the door behind her.

Lucy just nodded and grabbed her hands, "what was it you wanted to talk about??" She asked being her normal cheerful self.

Kory sucked in a breath taking her hands away from Lucy's, "I know.. You like me or whatever, that much is apparent... But... I can't do this" she mumbled not wanting to make eye contact with Lucy.

Lucy looked at her tilting her head to the side, "do what? We're not even officially together Kory"

Kory nodded, "yeah, I know, and I don't intend to be.."

Lucy smiled and nodded" "I know, I love you!" She giggled, "I don't want to rush you into a relationship or anything that I know you're not ready for. I mean aside from..... Ya know." She grinned, "but I get that we can't be together right now and I'm okay with that! As long I can be with you and see you!" She said happily.

Kory pouted and nodded, "that's the thing, Lucy, I don't think we should see each other either.."

Lucy's eyes popped open and she looked at Kory, "what do you mean?"

"This..... thing... that we have, it can't happen Lucy. I made a mistake and I'm sorry for leading you on like that"

Tears pricked at the corners of Lucy's eyes, "Kory..." She whispered. "I don't understand..." she frowned.

Kory sighed and grabbed Lucy's shoulders, looking at her for a few moments before pulling her in and hugging her, whispering "I'm sorry Lucy. It's better for both of us if we cut off all contact. I never wanted things to go this far, but they did I can't change that. But I can make sure things are different. I never cared for you the way you thought, or the way you do for me, and I don't want to deceive you any longer.. Sorry" she told the brunette girl.

Lucy processed all this for a moment, then pushed away from Kory, "you can't mean it...." She said shakily. "I KNOW that you care for me!! A lot! I know you do! you just don't want to admit it and I GET that but you can't really expect me never to speak to you again!" she grabbed Korys hands again, "I love you and I won't give up these feelings, they won't simply just go away. You're the best thing that's happened to me and I won't lose that, even she you try pushing me away like this. I know you secretly do care for me, you just hate showing it, and I'm determined to make sure you feel love in that stone cold heart of yours" she gave Kory a heartwarming smile.

Kory sighed and shook her head, "Lucy" she said sternly, looking up at her "I meant what I said. I don't like you. I never did."

Lucy shook her head, "NO!!" She shouted, "I refuse to believe it!" She told the other girl, "You can't mean it! I know you love me Kory! I KNOW you do!!! You just need to admit it to yourself! And I know these things take time that's why I'm willing to wait for you! Until you figure it out!"

"NO LUCY LISTEN!!" Kory finally yelled, grabbing Lucy's arm and making her look at her, "I don't love you and I never did, no matter how much you want to believe so" she said coldly.

Lucy glared right back at the girl, "then why lie to me." She narrowed her blue eyes, she now had Kory's full attention, "yeah, then that means you lied. You TOLD me flat out to my face that you loved me!! And... And I know you could never just deceive me like that.... Just to get something you wanted out of it! You would never do that you're not that type!!"

Kory shook her head "you're wrong Lucy"

"AM I?!" Lucy shouted, "because if I remember correctly YOU were the one that started that 'mistake'! Damn it Kory you told me you loved me and I'll always believe it!! Because you proved it to me!!" She yelled, the tears now streaming down her cheeks, Kory just looked at her "Yeah Kory you can't just PRETEND nothing happened last night!" She cried out to the other girl, "you can't just erase that! THATS what showed me you loved me! I know you could never deceive me! Not to way that things were going last night that was TRUE feelings, and now you're trying to tell me they meant nothing"

"To ME, Lucy!" Kory stated, "Call it what you may" she released Lucy's arm and backed up to the door a little, "but I prefer to call it a fling" she hissed opening the door and stepping inside, Lucy flinched at the words, "think of us as nothing, forget everything that happened, it'll be better for both of us." She said beginning to close the door.

Lucy stopped the door with her foot, Kory opened the door back up glaring at the girl, Lucy looked up with the tears in her eyes, "at least answer me one thing I've always wanted to know since out first kiss.." She whispered.

"What" Kory spat.

Lucy looked away, "what are we.... What were we" she whispered.

Kory thought for a moment looking to the side, "what ever you want to think of us as" Lucy looked at her, she sighed, "and by that I mean, I'll give you two options. You can think of us as friends with benefits...... Or a one night stand" she said coldly and closed the door in Lucy's face.

Lucy looked at the door, wondering what just happened, and how it did. The tears rushed from her eyes, she nodded and turned on her heels, walking down the cement path and out the gate, down the sidewalk. She made it a few houses down to a tree before her legs gave out, she pushed herself back against the tree and let the tears fall.

Kory closed the door in Lucy's face, she turned away and thought to herself for a moment, and how she could've been so cruel to the girl, the girl that treated her like royalty, the girl that did everything to make Kory happy, including suffering herself, the girl that gave her everything. Kory felt as the tears came to her ears, she turned back to the door, she couldn't do it, she had to open the door, to apologize to Lucy, to hold her in her arms again and tell her she didn't mean it, to tell her she loved her and always has. She reached out to the handle but heard a deep, but sharp voice behind her, "Kory" Kory froze and turned to her father, "I hope you weren't planning on opening that door" George smirked.

Kory shook her head looking away "of course not"

George nodded "good" he started back into the kitchen "because I will not allow homosexuals in my house" he whispered.

"George!!" Nicole sneered.

"What what!"

"I would appreciate if you didn't make our daughter uncomfortable calling her such things!" she muttered.

"Yeah yeah" George waved her off and the kitchen went quiet. Kory continued to stand at the door, wanting to turn back so badly, she looked out of the peephole to see Lucy walking out of the gate. Although she couldn't see her face she knew she was holding back tears, and she wanted desperately to run out and scoop her up in her arms, but she knew she couldn't, she turned back around and pressed her back against the cold door, sliding down it as she let the tears run.

Kory sat in her room, thinking things over after that. She looked to her nightstand, of the picture of her and Lucy. She groaned and fell back to her pillow. She heard her phone go off behind her and she picked it up and put it to her ear already having a guess of who it would be.

"KORY WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK I JUST AHSJJIIABAKVNMXOMWOGJSOAJORNSNCOWJSO WHAAAAT"

"You're spazzing again Talia"

"I DON'T FUCKING CARE WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING I-"

"Listen Talia, first of all I'm not in the mood, second, we were never together in the first place."

"Then why the hell did you have sex"

Kory let out a sigh "she told yo-"

"No" Talia cut her off "she didn't tell me anything. I just know. Like how I know you love her. Like what the hell man, why did you even."

"It's complicated Talia" Kory sighed.

"No it's fucking not" Talia said "you know what. I bet it's your dad. You know as well as I do that he hates 'that type' because he thinks homosexuality is a fucking disease or something. He doesn't want you to turn out like Robbie and you know it"

Kory sat up, "Talia you know what significance Robbie is to my dad, he means virtually nothing. That's why he doesn't want me to be like him"

"You know it's only because every time your father looks at Robbie he sees Robbie's real mom!! How does he fucking live with himself after what he did to Robbie and his mom! That's WHY he doesn't want you to be like him, you two already look so damn much alike that's probably even hard for him! but the more you remind him of Robbie the less he wants you. Kory you know I love you you're one of my best friends, but except reality. Except that your father is an asshole that wants nothing to do with your brother, or anything even remotely like him. But keep in mind that it's your life, not your dad's. Your feelings towards Lucy, not your dad's. It's your decision to make whether you love Lucy or not... Not your dad's." Talia whispered and hung up.

Kory looked at her phone and threw it aside letting out a grunt of rage. She flew off her bed pacing her room back and forth, Talia was right and she knew it. Kory had to fix this, but how could she when Kory was probably the last person Kory wanted to speak to at the moment.

Kory walked up the steps and opened the door stepping into the kitchen. She heard the dogs bark as they whipped around the corner and attacked Kory in licks and love. She kneeled down and petted them chuckling, "okay guys I get it you're happy to see me"

Talia walked around the corner and looked at her, she sighed, "okay Cherry okay Penny go on" she said and the dogs ran out.

Kory looked up at Talia with her cat in her arms, "so I take it you were in the middle of giving it a bath"

Talia nodded glaring at the girl "OH REALLY WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CLUE SHERLOCK?" She said sarcastically.

Kory sighed and tried to look around her, "where's Lucy?"

Talia leaned against the doorway to block her, "upstairs. In her room. Luke's trying to make her happy again since you so rudely broke the poor girl's heart."

Kory rolled her eyes "I need to see her"

Talia chuckled "and I need money" she smirked.

Kory looked at her, "Talia Jade Starry are you trying to convince me to pay you in order to see Lucy" she glared.

"Yes was it not obvious enough" Talia said monotone.

Kory sighed "how much?"

Talia looked at her and thought for a moment "describe to me how much you love Lucy"

Kory thought about it and stayed silent for a few moments, she smiled "describing why I love her is like trying to tell you what water tastes like, she's Lucy. What more is there to say? She's amazing and funny and cute and kind and just ah" Kory looked down to the ground, "She makes me happy... more than just happy. I feel like anymore, that she's the reason I'm alive. She makes me excited to wake up everyday, because I know she's just as ecstatic to see me. She just makes me happy, there's really no other way to put it. And.... I know it's still early for this but I want to be with her for the rest of me life" she smiled.

Talia sighed, "I'm gonna be a good person" she said and moved aside for her, Kory smiled and began to walk past her but Talia stopped her, "5 bucks"

"What?"

"Consider yourself lucky I lowered the price after hearing that. 5 bucks"

Kory shrugged "how about 50?" She said handing talia her wallet and heading upstairs.

Talia looked at it "seriously?!" She smiled, "oh, Kory" Kory looked back at her, "Luke!! Come here!!" Talia yelled yanking Kory from the stairs and hiding her behind the wall.

Luke walked down the stairs "hmm?"

"Uh. You should... Go check on Tiffani."

"Lucy and I literally just did not even 5 minutes ago." He chuckled.

"Oh...." Talia thought and looked down at the wet cat in the towel in her arms "the cat's dying then"

"What?!" Luke examined it "what's wrong with it?"

"I DON'T KNOW MAN! IT'S JUST DYING ALRIGHT! GO CHECK IT OUT IN THE KITCHEN!" She shouted shoving the cat into his arms and pushing him in the kitchen. She turned to Kory motioning for her to go upstairs before turning and walking into the kitchen herself.

Kory nodded and quietly walked upstairs and to Lucy's room. She lightly tapped her knuckles on the door and made a crooked smile waiting for Lucy to look back at her.

She heard Lucy sniffle a bit, and her hand wipe her eyes, he back still to the door. "I thought about what you said Luke.." she whispered "I know I should forget about her bit I've come to the conclusion that I can't. I love her and I refuse to tell myself something that isn't true." She said.

Kory smiled a little "well that's good" she whispered.

Lucy jumped a little and looked back, "K-Kory.......?" she cried.

Kory nodded and walked to her sitting beside her, "indeed I am"

Lucy blushed and looked away "w-what do you want? Here to be the good person and give me virginity back?" She spat.

Kory chuckled "Lucy you know that's not possible"

"I don't care!" She pouted crossing her arms.

Kory sighed and kicked her feet across the floor, "I came to apologize" she told her.

"Why?" Lucy looked at the ground.

Kory grabbed Lucy's chin and made her look at her, "because I love you" she whispered.

Lucy looked up, "y-you mean it?"

Kory nodded, "I do. I've never been more serious about anything in my life." She told her.

And Lucy believed her, because she knew Kory wasn't the type to lead her on, nor lie about this, and break her heart again. She just wasn't like that.

Lucy jumped forward kissing Kory, "I love you too," she whispered. "I always have."

Lucy dragged Kory downstairs, their hands interlocked, she ran into the kitchen and held their hands up "LOOOOOOOOOK WE'RE OFFICIAL!!" she shouted.

They froze at the sight of Talia and Luke basically playing tug of war with the cat, Talia and Luke froze too and looked at them, dropping the cat at the same time and nervously laughing. "I told you dear," Talia said clenching her teeth together, "Ashton's not in the mood for tug of war"

Luke rolled his eyes "ANYWAYS whaaaaat's this??" He pointed to their hands.

Kory blushed as Lucy scooped her into her arms giggling cutely, "we're official~!"

Luke looked at Talia and Talia chuckled nervously, "OH loooooook Luke Kory's in the house"

Luke glared at his girlfriend, "I see" he said trying to keep his calm.

Talia clapped in the awkward atmosphere "WELL that's great you two I wish you both many happy years now please do go do something together again while Lucas and I have a little chat" she smiled.

Lucy nodded and walked outside hugging Kory all the way, Talia and Luke watched them leave from the doorway, Talia waved as they walked out of view and Talia angrily grabbed Luke's ear pulling him back inside yelling.

Kory and Lucy walked down the sidewalk holding hands as they approached the park, Kory quickly swooped behind Lucy and picked her up bridal style as she carried her down the hill blushing. Lucy blushed too and giggled as she pinched Kory's cheeks, "I see"

"See what?" Kory asked "what are you imagining now?" She chuckled.

Lucy pouted, "I'm not imagining anything" she stated "it's just... You're taking me back to where we first went when you showed me around town. When you found that lizard and decided to keep him and name him Kevin" she smiled cutely and kissed Kory's cheek.

Kory nodded still blushing, "I still have him too"

"How did you even know it was a boy?" Lucy smirked.

Kory shrugged "I like lizards. So I study them and their gender symbols" she told her.

Lucy smiled and nodded wrapping her arms around Kory's neck.

They made it down the hill and Kory lightly laid them both in the grass, they looked at each other and Kory gently kissed Lucy's nose, "I love you Lucy, I really do" she whispered.

"I love you too" Lucy blushed.

"I know you do. Though I question why" she chuckled.

They looked up to the clouds and made shapes out of them, then they ran up the hill and rolled down it several times, spending as long as they could enjoying each other.

Now they were sitting by the stream next to the hill. They sat on the rocks and watched small fish swim by and little garden snakes slither, Kory was poking frogs with sticks and watching them jump into the water and be carried away by it. Lucy watched smiling, then something moved and caught her eye. She looked over to a flash of black dodging under a rock, she got up and went over to it, Kory looked over at her.

"Whatcha doing?"

"Come here" Lucy said motioning for her. Kory dropped the stick and kneeled down beside Lucy, "I saw something" she lifted the rock, they just caught a small glimpse of a black lizard before it ran off into the grass.

"Get it!!" Kory said and her and Lucy ran off after it. They slid and stumbled and fell several times to catch it, but Kory finally cupped it in her hands and held it up to the sun, "you are the chosen one simba!!"

Lucy giggled, "you're a wizard Harry" she said as Kory examined it.

Kory smiled "it's a girl" she looked up at Lucy "you should keep it. I mean you did see it first after all. Maybe it's good luck" she rolled he eyes.

Lucy nodded and Kory handed it to her, "I'm going to name her Kelly!!" She giggled.

"Why do I get the feeling you want to mate Kelly and Kevin" Kory groaned.

"Cause I do" Lucy giggled.

Kory sighed "Kevin's too young for babies"

Lucy shrugged "then we should have kids!!"

Kory's eyes widened as he face swelled with red, "r-right!! W-well I mean... Kevin's f-fine to have kids yeah!"

Lucy smiled at how nervous her girlfriend suddenly was, she kissed her cheek and smiled, "that's why."

"Why what?"

"That's why I love you" Lucy said "you get so nervous at. The simplest things, it's cute" she giggled, "I mean of course there are many, many other reasons as to why I love you but that's just one of the main points" she kissed Kory's cheek. "And don't worry" she looked down and smiled at the lizard, "we'll wait a few..... Months before kids!"
